Monochromatic Man Card

Masculine cards are hard for me but hey, guys have birthdays too! So I scoured Pinterest for a card I thought might be good for our friend Jim! He and his family had just been to the Oregon Coast for Spring Break so this card by Beth Ann Wilson from Beth Ann's Stamp Pad Creations seemed appropriate. It looks like Beth Ann is no longer making and posting cards but she deserves credit nonetheless! For this card I pulled out a retired color...Midnight Muse!

For this card I used the following Stampin' Up! supplies:

  • Cardstock: Midnight Muse and Whisper White
  • Stamp Sets: By the Tide and Happiest Birthday Wishes (retired)
  • Ink: Midnight Muse
  • Other: Midnight Muse Stitched Ribbon and Dimensionals (of course)
After yesterday's post I thought I should keep this one short and sweet! I hope you have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday, Barb...Yesterday!

Here's a shout-out to my good friend, Barb on her birthday...yesterday! I meant to post this yesterday but we ended up with company (which was wonderful) but I just didn't get around to posting!

This is the birthday card I made for my friend, Barb! She loves flowers and the Tea for Two Designer Series Paper seemed to be just perfect!

For this card I used the following Stampin' Up! supplies:

  • Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Lucky Limeade, So Saffron
  • Tea for Two Designer Series Paper (retiring the end of May)
  • Stamp Sets: A Round Array; Happiest Birthday Wishes (retired Hostess set)
  • Classic Stampin' Pads: Crumb Cake (for sponging), Early Espresso and Lucky Limeade
  • Punches: 1 3/4" Scallop Circle, 1 3/8" Circle, 7/8" Scallop Circle
  • Other: Dimensionals (of course!), Basic Pearls, 5/8" Crochet Trim
Super fun and super cute card! My thanks go to the very talented Chat Wszelaki at Me, My Stamps and I for the inspiration for this card! Visit her blog and you will get a lot of great inspiration too!

I will be back for the Sunday Night Chit-Chat. Tomorrow I have some more Happy Mail cards to show you:)

I hope you are having a great Sunday!

Happy Stampers Flip Card

A very happy Wednesday to you. I am hoping for some sunshine today but doesn't look like we'll get any till Friday. Does that mean we have hopes of nice weather for the weekend?!!!

This was a really fun project using the Stampin' Up! Framelits. I had to get the card made before my Sneak Peeks got here from Stampin' Up! so used an old (but loved) stamp set called Because I Care (hostess set-retired). The Happy Stampers actually used the new stamp set called Betsy's Blossoms (in the NEW Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog which will debut June 1).

For this card I used:

  • Card Stock: Wisteria Wonder and Whisper White
  • 2011-2013 In Colors Designer Series Paper
  • Stamp Sets: Because I Care (retired); Loved Ones (Occasions Mini-retired end of last month); Happiest Birthday Wishes (hostess set retiring the end of this month)
  • Big Shot, Labels Collection Framelits Dies, Patience
This card was almost totally CASEd from Dawn Griffith at Dawn's Stamping Thoughts. The link will take you right to her video tutorial. All the ladies were super impressed with this card as was I. It is so much fun to make cards that DO something! I think my mom just might like this card for her birthday, don't you?

I am constantly amazed by the paper crafting talent out there in blog land. I am going to practice designing but for now am still CASing (Copy & Share)! After all, I do it sooo well!!!

The picture at left is the card opened showing the flip on the inside. Just can't believe how cool this card is!

Hope you have a great day and that it sunny and warm where you are:) Kat
