Our Sunday Brunch Cruise aboard the Willamette Star was incredible! The trip was supposed to be on the Sternwheeler but three weeks prior the Sternwheeler threw all it's gears and had to be tugboated to Louisiana for repair. I don't even want to think what the logistics of that trip would be! We boarded at Cascade Locks. The weather could not have been more perfect; the food was delicious; the service was superb! We felt totally pampered.
The captain did a commentary about the history along the Columbia River. It reminded me of reading some of Jane Kirkpatrick's books.
The picture at the top is the Willamette Star; bottom left are Indian fishing platforms where the Indians use their dip nets; bottom right is our food (yummers!).
Thanks for sharing our adventure.
