M is for Monday...Happy Homemaker Monday

Happy Homemaker Button courtesy of Sandra at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom

Okay, so this might be a stretch for M but I have missed taking part in Sandra's Happy Homemaker Monday for the last couple of weeks so made it fit! If you would like to play along with Happy Homemaker Monday or see what's Sandra's been up to, check out Diary of a Stay at Home Mom!

The weather...40 degrees (F) but no wind! I would prefer it to be at least 20 degrees warmer!

Right now I am...Sitting in my favorite chair writing this blog post:)

Thinking...Well I have been all over the place on today's post as it was supposed to start with the letter M. I thought about Money, Magazines, Mother but couldn't decided so put it off till this morning and decided on Monday--Happy Homemaker Monday!

On my reading pile...I haven't been doing a lot of reading lately so am still reading Widow of Larkspur Inn. I am also reading my Bible and The Desire of Ages. The following books are patiently waiting on my reading pile:

  • 21 Days to a More Disciplined Life by Crystal Paine
  • Baby Blessed by Debbie Macomber
  • The Right Wrong Number by Barbara Delinsky
  • The Covenant by Beverly Lewis
On the TV...Not much but I am enjoying Call the Midwife on PBS. I thought about watching Selfridges but will wait to see if it comes out on Netflix.

Blog hopping (newly discovered blog)...I have done a lot of blog hopping in the last two weeks as part of the A to Z Blog Challenge. You might find Francene Stanley's blog Stitching Words. Her "reflection of British wildflowers in emotions" has been very interesting and you might just want to start at the beginning (April 1).

On the menu for this week...
Monday...leftover Mushroom Barley Soup, green salad and Spring Rolls
Tuesday...Tacos
Wednesday...Town Day so no cooking
Thursday-Monday...Holiday for hubby and me in the mountains

On my to do list...
  • Prepare projects for Stamping Club (Wednesday)
  • Pack for our trip
  • Write A to Z posts for the week
  • Make and send 2 Sympathy cards and one Birthday card
  • Make swap card and Design Team project for the Cupboard Trilogy Challenges
In the craft basket...
  • Baby afghan for baby boy
  • 2 doilies
  • 1 pair of socks (ripped it out so need to start again)
Looking forward to this week...Happy Stampers Club on Wednesday and the start of our holiday on Thursday!

Looking around the house...As usual, dogs, dogs everywhere! They only have a couple of toys out so it's not too bad! Things look pretty good around here this morning!

From the camera...

This is what Rocky's bed looked like last week. He had 9 toys out altogether! We call his bed the playpen!!! If the toy makes it to his bed, it's HIS (in his mind anyway)!

On my prayer list...

  • Friends wanting to sell their restaurant so they can spend more time with their girls.
  • Friend who is having serious health issues.
  • Brother who is on his first vacation since his wife died. It hasn't been as easy as he thought.

Bible verse; Devotional...

"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."  --Isaiah 40:11

I will be back tomorrow with the letter N! I'm starting to feel like Sesame Street! I have made it halfway through the A to Z Blog Challenge and am committed to finishing, so wish me luck!

  3. Well I wish my week was as organized as yours! This month it seems I've been doing a lot of, "So what do you feel like for diner tonight?" Then my daughter and her boyfriend cook. :)

Just as a side note, I wanted to come back and tell you I found a great app for the iPad. Not sure if you remember we shared frustration about the blogger app being crap and not letting you edit etc. Anyway, the app I found is called "Posts" and you can edit and everything. AND if you do more then one blog, you can run them all in the one app. It's great.
