Perfectly Preserved Nugget Jar

I saw this adorable little jar about a month ago and thought it was the cutest thing ever...except my granddaughter, of course! Last night we made them at our Happy Stampers Club meeting and I think they were a hit! If I have this right, the Nugget Jar was designed by Mary Alice Bellis at Marvelous Possibilities but you can watch a video tutorial by Kay Kalthoff. Thank you Mary Alice and Kay for this GREAT project.

Now, if you look real close to the left side of the oval cut out, you will see that I smudged the Lucky Limeade ink. Well, not to worry as my next photo shows...
This just goes to show you can over up almost anything and actually make it better! I love the addition of that cute pear on the front of my Nugget Jar:)

I am going to change it up a bit by using the ear of corn stamp and dsp to make them as favors for my Thanksgiving table this year! They would also make adorable baby shower favors. Actually, it could be changed up for any holiday or occasion!

For this project I used the following Stampin' Up! supplies:

  • Very Vanilla and Lucky Limeade card stock; Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper
  • Classic Stampin' Pads: Lucky Limeade and Early Espresso
  • Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set
  • Cannery Set Framelits
  • Other: Linen Thread, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Hershey Nuggets (not Stampin' Up!:)
Be sure to check out Kay's and Mary Alice's blogs to find some great ideas for using the Perfectly Preserved stamp set as well as a lot of other fun projects!

Have a great day and as always, Happy Stamping!

Perfectly Preserved Thank You

Customer Thank You cards for August
My 16 swap cards got off in the mail yesterday. I sure hope everybody likes them as much as I enjoyed making them! I can hardly wait to see what I get back but you can be sure I will share with you! My swap card to France went out last week so am anxiously awaiting that one as well.

The Man in Brown is supposed to make a visit today bringing our last Happy Stampers Club order. Can you see me doing the Happy Dance?!!! It's always like Christmas going through the order and getting it ready for delivery! If that's work, I don't ever want another job:)

For my customer Thank You cards this month I used my new favorite Stampin' Up! products--Perfectly Preserved stamp set, Cannery Set Framelits Dies and Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper! Surprise!!!

This card was totally inspired by Mary Fish at Stampin' Pretty. Thank you Mary for this great layout! Mary used a single pear on her card but I really like the jar and topper so had to include them on mine. I would never thought of using Sahara Sand as a base for the Orchard Harvest dsp but when you look, sure enough, those little acorns are Sahara Sand! Mary and her sharp eye figured it out!

For this card I used the following Stampin' Up! products:

  • Paper: Sahara Sand, Island Indigo and Very Vanilla card stock; Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper
  • Stamp sets: Perfectly Preserved and Perfectly Penned
  • Classic Stampin' Pads: Early Espresso and Lucky Limeade
  • Other: Linen Thread, Dimensionals, Big Shot, Cannery Set Framelits Dies
Thank you for visiting me today! I am humbled by the fact that so many people choose to stop by each day to see what's going on in my little neck of the woods! Well, actually there are no woods here, just sage brush! But you get the idea:)

Perfectly Preserved Raspberry Ripple Tri-fold Card

WOW! That title is a mouthful but I wanted to distinguish it from the post I did HERE using the pear from this fabulous stamp set!

The inspiration for the Tri-fold card came from my up-line Linda Gutierrez. Her blog is Stamping Year Round and check out what she did with fabric Yoyos! After you see these projects you might just want to get in on the great fabric steal Stampin' Up! currently has going--Discontinued Designer Fabric Bundles for only 99 cents each! Each bundle includes 3 extra wide (27" x 18") fat quarters in coordinating fabrics. When was the last time you purchased even ONE fat quarter for under $1 and this offer is for THREE! This is one of those offers that when it's gone, it's gone so if you want to order some fat quarters email me today!

I FINALLY got all my swap cards done and ready to mail today. I don't know how the stampers do it when they have 50 or 100 swap cards to make! I only had 16 and felt like I was running a marathon!!! Did I tell you that I accidentally signed up for two swap places:( Oh well, that means I will get twice the number of cards back! I made the card with the pears for one group and the one above for the other group. I do have to say though that I love, love, love this stamp set!!! And the coordinating Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper!

Currently my top three Stampin' Up! stamp sets (in order) are:
  1. Perfectly Preserved
  2. Tea Shoppe
  3. Creative Elements
But that could change depending on the day and my mood:) I love stamping and I love being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator! My customers and my team members are the best ever!!! I love the support I get from other demonstrators who have nothing to gain from helping me. Currently Stampin' Up! has a promotion called  The Spooktacular Project Kit Offer. When you sign up as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for only $99 you get $125 in Stampin' Up! product of your choice PLUS a $60 Halloween Project Kit!
I would love having you as a member of my team. Email me today if you are interested.

Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by to visit.

Perfectly Preserved Tri-fold Card

Option #1 using Whisper White
I am sooo in LOVE with the new Perfectly Preserved stamp set and the Cannery Set Framelits Dies in the NEW Holiday Catalog! And let's not forget the Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper!!! When I saw the Holiday Catalog, Perfectly Preserved was my "must have" set! The best part is that when you purchase the Perfectly Preserved stamp set and the Cannery Set Framelits Dies at the same time you save 15%--it's called a bundle!

You might recognize the card style from yesterday and in June 18-20. I really like this card style and am so thankful that Linda Gutierrez at Stamping Year Round gave her downline (that's me!) instructions on how to make them! I purchased the Perfectly Preserved Bundle and Orchard Harvest dsp to do my first ever swap--8 cards:) However I didn't have a clue how I was going to design the card because I am a "copier" not a "designer". After I made yesterday's card for my friend, I thought, "Hmmm, I wonder what the Perfectly Preserved would look like done as a Tri-fold card?" Then I got to work! In July I started sending each person in my downline a card to use as inspiration, to send or whatever. I decided to use them as my guinea pigs for this card! So girls, if you are reading this, be sure to check your mail box next week.

The card above was the first one I did and I think it turned out good but not great! When I woke up this morning I thought, "I wonder what that card would look like with Very Vanilla instead of Whisper White?" Well, a few cuts of the paper, some stamping and a few runs through the Big Shot and this is what the second one looks like.

Option #2 using Very Vanilla
In the first one I cut the jar topper out of the same dsp as the leaves and acorns--just the reverse side. I like the one I stamped in Island Indigo better.

Sooo, what Stampin' Up! products did I use to make these two ADORABLE cards?

  • Paper: Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White on one and Very Vanilla on the other; Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper--LOVE it!!!
  • Perfectly Preserved stamp set
  • Classic Stampin' Pads: Island Indigo, Early Espresso and Lucky Limeade
  • Big Shot, Cannery Set Framelits Dies, Linen Thread, Dimensionals
Second card opened up
I totally LOVE the colors in the Orchard Harvest dsp--Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Island Indigo, More Mustard, Lucky Limeade and Raspberry Ripple! I want to try this card using several of the color combos:)

Which card do you like best and do you think the recipients of my swap will like it? I also have a single card swap that I think I will use this card for too!

Have a great day and a wonderful weekend. I will be back on Sunday evening for the Sunday Night Chit-Chat!
