I have a super busy day today so tomorrow I will show you how to make this super cute flower out of the packing paper from my last stamping order! I can think of so many uses for this adorable flower; perfect for Fall. So I hope you pop back in tomorrow so I can show you how to make the flower for almost nothing (after you purchase the Blossom Punch, of course!)
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by today!

Perfectly Preserved Thank You
| Customer Thank You cards for August |
The Man in Brown is supposed to make a visit today bringing our last Happy Stampers Club order. Can you see me doing the Happy Dance?!!! It's always like Christmas going through the order and getting it ready for delivery! If that's work, I don't ever want another job:)
For my customer Thank You cards this month I used my new favorite Stampin' Up! products--Perfectly Preserved stamp set, Cannery Set Framelits Dies and Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper! Surprise!!!
This card was totally inspired by Mary Fish at Stampin' Pretty. Thank you Mary for this great layout! Mary used a single pear on her card but I really like the jar and topper so had to include them on mine. I would never thought of using Sahara Sand as a base for the Orchard Harvest dsp but when you look, sure enough, those little acorns are Sahara Sand! Mary and her sharp eye figured it out!
For this card I used the following Stampin' Up! products:
- Paper: Sahara Sand, Island Indigo and Very Vanilla card stock; Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper
- Stamp sets: Perfectly Preserved and Perfectly Penned
- Classic Stampin' Pads: Early Espresso and Lucky Limeade
- Other: Linen Thread, Dimensionals, Big Shot, Cannery Set Framelits Dies
Thank you for visiting me today! I am humbled by the fact that so many people choose to stop by each day to see what's going on in my little neck of the woods! Well, actually there are no woods here, just sage brush! But you get the idea:)

Perfectly Preserved Raspberry Ripple Tri-fold Card
WOW! That title is a mouthful but I wanted to distinguish it from the post I did HERE using the pear from this fabulous stamp set!
The inspiration for the Tri-fold card came from my up-line Linda Gutierrez. Her blog is Stamping Year Round and check out what she did with fabric Yoyos! After you see these projects you might just want to get in on the great fabric steal Stampin' Up! currently has going--Discontinued Designer Fabric Bundles for only 99 cents each! Each bundle includes 3 extra wide (27" x 18") fat quarters in coordinating fabrics. When was the last time you purchased even ONE fat quarter for under $1 and this offer is for THREE! This is one of those offers that when it's gone, it's gone so if you want to order some fat quarters email me today!
I FINALLY got all my swap cards done and ready to mail today. I don't know how the stampers do it when they have 50 or 100 swap cards to make! I only had 16 and felt like I was running a marathon!!! Did I tell you that I accidentally signed up for two swap places:( Oh well, that means I will get twice the number of cards back! I made the card with the pears for one group and the one above for the other group. I do have to say though that I love, love, love this stamp set!!! And the coordinating Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper!

Creative Elements Shutter Card
This morning I gave you the picture on the left as a tease for this post. Last month I posted a Shutter Card very much like this one HERE but made a few changes that I really liked so wanted to show them to you. In this picture you can see that I layered the flowers--the center one has three layers and the one on the right has two layers. The third flower is just a single layer. This Shutter Card and the one in July were inspired by Dawn Griffith of Dawn's Stamping Thoughts.
To make this card I used the following Stampin' Up! products:
To make this card I used the following Stampin' Up! products:
- Paper: Midnight Muse and Very Vanilla card stock; Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper
- Stamp sets: Creative Elements, Occasions Alphabet and Messages for Mom (retired--for sentiment)
- Classic Stampin' Pads: Midnight Muse, Cajun Craze, Soft Suede and Summer Starfruit
- Other: Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Soft Suede Taffeta Ribbon, Basic Pearls
On the right hand piece where the sentiment is, I used the flower stamp with Soft Suede ink to create a watermark effect by stamping off the image before stamping it on the card stock. The next picture shows a closeup of what I'm talking about.
I am so enjoying this style of card AND the Creative Elements stamp set! I hope you don't get tired of them.
Tomorrow I will have my new swap card ready to show! I need to get them in the mail tomorrow!!!!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Creative Elements Tease
I don't have time this morning for a long post so thought I would give you a little tease. The card is one I did last month I think. Anyway, I stepped it up a bit and want to show you what I did. So I will be back later today to show you the whole card and give you the details:)
Have a great day!!!

Sunday Night Chit-Chat
Welcome to the Sunday Night Chit-Chat! For my picture I decided to use one I took of my son's dog Rocky (both of them live with us). He was sleeping on his back on the sofa so I went to get the camera to snap a picture but when I came back he had rolled over. He gets all self-conscious and embarrassed when I try to take pictures of him. It's really funny! Why do I have a sheet on my sofa? Well...English Bulldogs cannot lift their tails when they poop so we have to make sure he is clean. Just in case, we protect the sofa with a sheet.
If you are new to the Sunday Night Chit-Chat, go to Carla's website My 1/2 Dozen Daily for directions and see what Carla's been up to!
I am...
Reading...Just magazines at the moment. My new Weight Watchers Magazine and the new Stampin' Success just came yesterday so am enjoying them:)
Watching...The Glades on Netflix while I was filling the food dryers with peaches.
Listening to...Rocky snoring and the air conditioner humming.
Cooking/Baking...Today I made Gazpacho and corn on the cob. Tonight, after it cools down a bit, I plan to make Russian Teacakes and Mini Pecan Tarts for a friend who dearly loves both.
Happy I accomplished this week...Everything on my "must do" list got done! None of the extra things but the needed things got done. That doesn't always happen.
Looking forward to this week...A social gathering on Tuesday and a visit with a special friend on Thursday. I am excited about getting some cards made for a swap I joined. Love making cards...especially when I get in the zone:)
Thankful for today...all the delicious fruit and veggies in our garden! It doesn't get any better than garden to plate:)
When it comes to shopping for clothes for myself, what item do I have the hardest time saying "no" to...SHOES!!! I love, love, love shoes! I have sooo many pair but still want to buy more! I need to get rid of several pair of dress shoes that I used to wear to work because I just don't wear them anymore.
Thanks for stopping by to share the Sunday Night Chit-Chat with me:) I am always sooo glad you came!

Double Pocket Tea Shoppe
If I were any later with this post it would be tomorrow!!! Sorry about that! I have had a busy day and just got the opportunity to sit down to blog.
Tea Shoppe rides again! I LOVE the Tea Shoppe stamp set and will likely use it several more times this Stampin' Up! year! A big thank you goes out to Judy Rozema of Joy in a Jar for a wonderful picture tutorial for making the Double Pocket card. I decided to use the retired Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper from the last Sale-a-bration since I had a full package.
For this card I used the following Stampin' Up! products:
