Wondrous Wreath for Spring

Yesterday was one busy day but a fun one. First up was my dental cleaning...not so much fun...but the hygienist said all looks great at 8 months following my LANAP procedure the middle of August! And I have felt sooo much better since a few months after the procedure...more energy and better immune system! After my teeth were sparkly clean we went to lunch. I know, doesn't make sense to dirty up those pearly whites right after but I was sooo hungry!!!

Next on the agenda was Joann's...it was Senior Citizen Day with a 20% discount on just about everything. Could I find anything? Well, not much, but I did find embossing folders (reg. price $3.99-4.99) for 5/$10!!!

The best part was a pedicure with my favorite technician, Joyce! She is amazing and such a sweetheart. I hadn't been since last Fall so it was definitely time! Hubby picked out the color to debut my pedicured sandal feet for Spring; OPI Romeo and Juliet! I love the names OPI gives their polishes. I had picked out Chocolate Moose (yes, I spelled that correctly) but went with Hubby's choice and love it!!!

A trip to Costco yielded me a new pair of my favorite shoes for walking...Fila Hyper Split in a beautiful shade of teal or turquoise or something like that...for just $19.99!!! I am currently wearing a pair of hot pink ones I bought last summer and just started wearing a month and a half ago when I started walking again but they are sooo comfortable I promised myself if they got them at Costco again I would buy them and put them away for when I need them. I have trouble getting tennis shoes that feel good and these feel great!!! I have been walking 2-3 miles a day, 5-6 days a week! Feels good and the dogs really love it and look forward to it:)

Today I had an online class through Creative Live on Beginning Mixed Media. Creative Live posts some classes that are free while they are live but once the class is over you can purchase it to watch over and over for $39. This was a 3-hour class and the instructor was amazing! I don't do Mixed Media (yet) but have been curious about what it is all about. I would like to combine it with Art Journaling, which I also haven't started...yet!

So sorry to be super long-winded today! I really do have a card to share but was super excited to share all the other fun things as well:)

The card for today I call Wondrous Wreath for Spring! Doesn't this card just scream Spring?!!! The Wondrous Wreath was in the Holiday catalog and carried over to the Occasions catalog. I do hope it makes it into the new Annual Catalog starting in June! I used it for Fall, Christmas and now Spring! It is so versatile!

I found the inspiration for this card on Pinterest and my thanks go out to Amy Koenders of Stamp with Amy K! I switched it up just a little but not a lot! I have some Purely Pomegranate cardstock that I squirreled away when it retired a few years back and thought it would be perfect with this card paired with Wild Wasabi and the combo did not disappoint!

For this card I used the following Stampin' Up! supplies:

  • Cardstock: Wild Wasabi, Purely Pomegranate (retired), So Saffron and Pink Pirouette
  • Stamp Sets: Wondrous Wreath and Crazy About You (sentiment)
  • Ink: Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Pistachio Pudding, Purely Pomegranate (retired)
  • Big Shot with Lovely Lace Embossing Folder and Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies
  • Other: Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals, Glue Dots
Don't forget that Stampin' Up! has FREE SHIPPING through tomorrow, April 10 and you can get there by clicking on the shopping cart on the right!

That's it for me today! I hope you are having a great day and that the sun is shining where you are.

All is Calm Wondrous Wreath Card

It's a rainy day in my neck of the woods! Oh how I wanted to say Georgia...and what do I mean by "woods" as we have absolutely NO WOODS here; just dry grass and sage brush! We have trees right around our house which we planted but there are no woods! So, what does that have to do with anything? Absolutely nothing! It's my blog and I'll ramble if I want to...right?!!!

Today I will be out and about delivering stamping orders and hoping to take a box of stuff to the thrift store! Actually, I probably have a trailer of stuff that needs to go to the thrift store but it will need to be a little at a time.

The card today won rave reviews from the Happy Stampers last week! I really like everything about it. I have Jill Franchett at Jill's Ink to thank for this card as I pretty much copied everything! I didn't realize that Stampin' Up! has Silver Foil so used the Silver cardstock but I have the Silver Foil coming on my next order!

For this card I used the following Stampin' Up! supplies:

  • Paper: Lost Lagoon, Whisper White, Silver and Pear Pizzazz cardstock; All is Calm Specialty Designer Series Paper
  • Wondrous Wreath photopolymer stamp set
  • Ink: Pistachio Pudding, Pear Pizzazz and Lost Lagoon
  • Big Shot with Wonderful Wreath Framelits
  • Other: Lost Lagoon 3/8" taffeta ribbon, Dimensionals
I hope you enjoyed the card today! There are so many great ideas out there I want to try and stamp sets I want to play with! Have I told you lately that I LOVE stamping?!!!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by! Tomorrow is Five Things Friday so I will see you then!

Wondrous Wreath for Fall and a Giveaway

Hello everyone! So happy to be blogging for the third day in a row! Woo Hoo!!! After my lengthy vacation from blogging, I wasn't sure I could still do it but it's just one day at a time. For sure, I will never run out of things to say or things to show you!

During my two and a half month vacation from blogging I continued to make cards so if nothing else, I will have a card or two to show you in the days and weeks to come:)

While I was visiting my daughter a couple weeks ago we had a couple of the neighbor ladies come over for some papercrafting time. I had prepared the card above for them to make and they loved it (as do I)! These cards have been running around on Pinterest and I'm not really sure where I got the idea but I am thinking it might be Frenchie at Stamp & Scrap with Frenchie. Then I discovered I had put the card together upside down! After all the cards I've made you'd think that wouldn't happen...but it did!!! Sooo, how did I fix it?

I cut the front of the card from the back, trimmed top, bottom and sides so it would measure 5 1/4" x 4" and mounted it onto a Blackberry Bliss card base and it took the card from pretty to WOW!!! LOVE IT!!! It is so much prettier in person, trust me! I have plans to make at least six more just like it!

Hey, to celebrate my return to blogging, would you like the chance to win a set of 4 cards like the ones above (complete with envelopes)? I will leave the inside blank so you can use them for any occasion! Just leave a comment below telling me which card you like best and I will draw the lucky name on Sunday, October 12 at noon (PDT)! This drawing will be open to anyone in the United States and Canada!

For this project I used the following Stampin' Up! supplies:

  • Paper: Blackberry Bliss, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake card stock
  • Ink: Hello Honey, Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow (I love the new In Colors), Baked Brown Sugar
  • Stamps: Wondrous Wreath, For All Things and Hardwood
  • Other: Stampin' Sponges (for sponging edges), hemp twine (not Stampin' Up!), Wonderful Wreath Framelits, Antique Brad (retired), Dimensionals and Glue Dots
I just might have a couple more cards to show you tomorrow sooo, see you then!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by today!
