Fancy Fold Swap Card #4

Another wonderful card from the VC Rocks Fancy Fold Swap! I love the way Ria used the Mosaic Punch to make the closure for this card! This card was made by Ria Blackwell using the new Mosaic products from Stampin' Up!

For this card Ria used the following Stampin' Up! supplies:

  • Paper: So Saffron, Very Vanilla and Basic Gray card stock; Nouveau Chic Designer Series Paper
  • Stamps: Mosaic Madness and Perfectly Penned
  • So Saffron Classic Stampin' Pad

This last card was made by Linda Wyatt. I don't have an ingredient list from her so I will try to decipher her card for you. This card is a tri-fold card--one of my all time favorites!

For this card Linda used the following Stampin' Up! supplies (I think):

  • Paper: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight and Strawberry Slush card stock
  • Stamps: Feel Goods; Wildflower Meadow
  • Ink: Strawberry Slush, Daffodil Delight and Pistachio Pudding
  • Other: Basic Rhinestones; Gingham Garden Washi Tape
Well, that's it for the Fancy Fold Cards! I have enjoyed these so much and am looking forward to my next swap which is the Artist Trading Cards! Stay tuned, I will get the ATC swaps back around the end of July.

Do you have any special plans for the 4th of July holiday?

Celebrate Mosaic Madness

Last night was the June meeting of our Happy Stampers Club! We had a great time as usual. The card above is one of the three cards we made. I found it on Pinterest, of course. The card I found was made by Loretta Springer but she said she CASed (Copy and Share) it from Amy O'Neill at Amy's Paper Crafts. Well, I just want to say "thank you" to both of these ladies for this great card design! As you can see I totally CASed it!!! The Mosaic Madness stamp set has been all over the internet and you can see why! Super cute!!!

For this card I used the following Stampin' Up! supplies:

  • Card Stock: Whisper White and Strawberry Slush; Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper
  • Stamp Sets: Mosaic Madness and Perfectly Penned
  • Classic Stampin' Pads: Pumpkin Pie, Pool Party, Daffodil Delight and Island Indigo
  • Other: Mosaic Punch and Dimensionals
I will be back with another one of our club projects tomorrow!

Happy Mail

Today when I picked up my mail at the Post Office, there was a package from Loni Holt--the blog candy I won! What a cute kleenex holder using Stampin' Up! fabric (retired but a favorite of mine)! You can check out Loni's blog at Loni's Life! No more tissues in a ziplock bag for me!

I was working like crazy getting the 11 cards finished that I needed to send for a VC Rocks Swap! Why do I get myself into these things?!!! Because I love the cards I get in return, that's why. However, with my Fibromyalgia, when I get stressed I get headaches, body aches, and start shutting down mentally:( So not fun! I just need to pace myself a little better.

So, I had this project...the 11 cards...that needed to get done and I had a great card I was going to CASE from Connie Stewart at Simply Simple Stamping. She made it look so easy but after 5 tries I had to give it up! I am usually not so easily stumped. So then I thought I would WOW everyone with the Swallowtail Butterfly Surprise Card but alas couldn't make that one work either! So, this is what I finally came up with...

This was a little out of the box for me because I usually don't do bright colors and this is definitely bright! But I love it! Don't you love the border stamp?!!!

This is called a Tri-fold Card and the picture above is what it looks like when opened.

For this card I used the following Stampin' Up! supplies:

  • Card Stock: Whisper White, Island Indigo and Pool Party
  • Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper
  • Stamp Sets: Mosaic Madness, Sassy Salutations and Papillon Potpourri
  • Classic Stampin' Pads: Island Indigo and Strawberry Slush
  • Other: Basic Rhinestone; Mini Glue Dots
So far on my card list I have made 16 Thank You Cards (all sent out); 13 of the card above (10 of them sent out as we only ended up with 9 in the swap) and two birthday cards (also sent)! I have the following to get finished in the next week:
  • Graduation Card
  • Bridal Shower Card
  • Father's Day Cards (2 done and 2 left to do)
  • Anniversary Card for Hubby
  • 2 Baby Cards
  • 3 projects for the next Happy Stampers Club
  • Congratulations card for new downline member--Yay! Charina!!!
Well, that's it for me today! Wait till you see what I have to show you tomorrow!

Mosaic Madness Thank You

I just received some really fun new products in my last Stampin' Up! order and was anxious to use them so decided to make some Thank You cards with it--15 to be exact! WOW! Is this amazing or what?!!! The inspiration for this card came from Heather Heroldt but I couldn't find a stamping website for her so you could see her version. Suffice it to say, I changed it quite a bit--Yay me! That's really something for the person who always copies *exactly*! Maybe I'm learning something:)

For this card I used the following Stampin' Up! products:

  • Card Stock: Whisper White, Baked Brown Sugar and Crisp Cantaloupe (these are two of the new InColors)--love Baked Brown Sugar
  • Stamp Sets: Mosaic Madness (NEW) and Sassy Salutations
  • Classic Stampin' Pads: Baked Brown Sugar and Crisp Cantaloupe
  • Big Shot with Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder (NEW) and Apothecary Accents Framelits (new to me:)
  • Other: Dimensionals and 3/16" Metallic Brads (retired)
I used the new InColor, Pistachio Pudding on a few of the cards because I happen to know one of my customers really likes that color. Just had to see what the card looked like with a different color!

I added pearls instead of brads to my downline cards. What do you think? I love the new InColors and though I was hesitant about the Mosaic products, I have learned to love them while doing this project. I think you will see more of them over the next year!

If you placed a Stampin' Up! order with me last month or are one of my team members, one of these cards will appear in your mailbox soon:)

Thanks for stopping by today!
