BOO

My Stampin' Up team member and very good friend, Margarita, sent me this card! Oh. How. Cute!!! This is a side-step card. I don't know all the supplies she used on this card but will tell you what I know...

• Paper: Basic Gray, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Crumb Cake and Old Olive card stock; gold glitter paper
• Googly Ghouls stamp set (retired); not sure about the sentiment
• Punches: Bat (retired); Owl Builder Punch (for ghost); leaves on pumpkin from the Bird Builder Punch; 1 3/8" Circle Punch
• Looks like the pumpkin might have been made using the Ovals Collection Framelits and the BOO is from the Typeset Alphabet Bigz Dies (on my Christmas list)
• Dimensionals; Googly Eyes; Plastic Mesh (behind the BOO); maybe a Glue Dot or two:)

As my regular readers know, I do a monthly one-to-one card swap with my Happy Stampers and some of Margarita's customers as well. But what you don't know is that Margarita has her own swap with her customers and many times they swap with everybody meaning you make a card for each person in the group. This is great because then you get several different cards! I signed up this month to be a part of Margarita's group and am so anxious to see what cards I get. There are seven of us swapping this month so need to make six of one kind of card! I think I will be using the Festive Flurry stamp set and framelits for my card!

Happy Stampers Swap Card

I am still trying to get over this nasty cold! It is really hanging on! I am really looking forward to being able to breathe normal again! 

Today I continued with my Soup Sensations with Vegetable Stew! It was so yummy! I don't know what it is about being sick that makes me want to eat soup but it does hit the spot:)

This is the swap card I received from Christy in last month's Happy Stampers Card Swap! WOW! What a fun card! I don't have information on what she used but do know that she stamped her image on Watercolor Paper and watercolored the image probably using a blender pen. It really made the card for her to tie the raffia on it. Isn't this card adorable?!!! Thank you Christy!

I thought I would share one extra card with you today. This one was made by my daughter while I was visiting her a couple weeks ago. She loves the Dress-up Framelits!

I love the way she made the cute little jacket and added the flower on the jacket with the Candy Dot in the middle of it. I am sure you will see a lot more of the adorable Dress-up Framelits!

Wedding Swap Card

I meant to get back yesterday with a couple of cards but still have that nagging headache:( Just don't feel like doing anything, especially if it involves thinking or bending over! With all the rain we have had you wouldn't think allergies would be a problem right now but mine seem to be worse than ever:( I do hope to sneak out to my craft space to get a few cards made today but will see what happens!

Today I want to show you the beautiful card my friend, Barb, gave me as her swap card this month. Some of my Happy Stampers and some of one of my downline's stampers started a monthly swap a several months ago. It has been sooo much fun to see another person's work up close and personal. The theme for this month was Wedding/Anniversary and I think Barb nailed it with her simply elegant card. The silver Glimmer Paper really adds to the card! She used the Labels Framelits and the Mr. & Mrs. stamp from Stampin' Up! Check out the two little hearts with the Basic Rhinestones in the middle! Oh.so.cute!

Happy Stampers Swap Card for May

I love the way this Swap Card turned out! I totally CASed it from Dawn Griffith at Dawn's Stamping Thoughts! I love the way the embossed background is sponged. It really sets the whole card off.

On the Fly Swap Card

This post just didn't want to happen today! My hubby downloaded Chrome onto my computer and said it would probably work better with my blog since they are both Google. So I opened up Chrome and started my blog post but the picture was just black. I tried it again and...black:( 

Since I had already mailed my swap card, I ran out to my crafting space and quickly made another one. I already had one done in browns but wanted to show you how wonderful it looks with the blues. So, made my card, took a picture, uploaded again and...you guessed it, black again! That's when I bagged it and switched back to my tried and true Safari and tada! it's working:)

The card above is using Midnight Muse, Bashful Blue and Whisper White cardstock with the retired Stampin' Up! stamp set, On the Fly! The ink is also Midnight Muse. I used Linen Thread, dimensionals and an Antique Brad. Love it! It is exactly like the card I made to send to Christy for the Masculine Card Swap last month.

The card on the right is using Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla. On this one I didn't add the brad but just left it kinda natural looking. They were so quick and easy to put together! 

I am planning to give these cards for Father's Day this year plus for a couple of birthdays for men!

I have had this stamp set for years and this was the first time I had used it! I have seen some cute cards on Pinterest using this set so may try to replicate a few of those.

It looks like it may make it into the 70s today in North Central Oregon! I am super excited about a little heat! I feel so bad for those of you who are still getting snow! SNOW IN MAY!!! There's got to be something wrong with that!

February Swap Card Received

I received my February Happy Stamper's Swap Card the other day from Christy! It is sooo adorable! Our theme was Easter/Spring and this card perfectly depicts both:) She used the Everybunny stamp set; Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder; and Labels Collection Framelits from Stampin' Up! as well as other assorted goodies. 

I love the way she lightly watercolored the image. If I'm not mistaken, she uses the Stampin' Up! Watercolor Wonder Crayons of which I am a huge fan of.

Don't you like the lime green brads as flower centers?!!! I think Christy did a great job and I was very happy to receive this beautiful card:) Thank you, Christy!

February Swap Card

Today and tomorrow are busy days trying to get ready for my Happy Stampers Club! I got The Cupboard Trilogy Challenge Design Team project finished and uploaded--whew! Then I got my February Swap Card finished and ready to deliver tomorrow! Why do I always wait till the last minute to get these things done? I know a full month in advance that they are coming up but do I get them finished early??? Nooooo! So, not it's onto the club projects and I am almost finished with the first one so will complete another one tonight and the last one in the morning. Wait till you see them, they are sooo cute! But for today I am going to show you the Swap Card and hope the recipient doesn't check my blog until she after receives it tomorrow! 

The theme for this month was Easter or Spring. I chose Spring. The ribbon actually looks better in real life--don't know why the tails are wonky:(

January Swap Card

I was going to post this card next week but couldn't wait! It is so unique! Love it! This card was made by Charina who is in a stamping group of my downline Margarita! She was brand new to stamping a year ago but clearly has taken to it like a duck takes to water!

Charina said the Space Needle stamp and the sentiment are from Impress in Tukwila, WA. The snowflakes are from the Snow Swirled stamp set by Stampin' Up! The base card is gray (Basic Gray perhaps) and the top layer is white.

I had to get a close up of the snowflakes and the little glitter dots so you can see how much detail is on this card.

One more thing before I go...

This is the scarf I am knitting...for MYSELF! I rarely make anything for myself! I get so excited when I finish something that I quickly find someone to give it to:) I found this yarn in my favorite color (lime green--the package calls it Monterey Lime) so decided to make myself a simple scarf to enjoy for the winter! It will look great with my black coat, don't you think?

I am knitting the scarf using Lion Brand Hometown USA bulky weight yarn and size 13 bamboo knitting needles. It is a simple k2, p2 pattern. I purchased two skeins of yarn but might have to get one or two more to make it as long as I want. There goes $8 out of the $20 I have to spend this month!

I am also knitting a pair of socks (also for myself) but will wait till I get the heel turned to show it to you.

Happy Stampers Swap Card Plus

If I was any further behind today I would still be in yesterday! It seems I have taken three steps forward and one back all day. I really need to learn to go with the flow and realize that the day doesn't HAVE to go according to MY plan! I have precious little energy with this horrendous rash of mine so I try to push forward but today is definitely not going my way:( Oh well, tomorrow is another day!

The first card I want to show you today is a swap card I received from Margarita DelaCruz! Check out the way my reflection showed up in the picture--funny! Margarita is in my Stampin' Up! downline and she is sooo talented! Her stamping club includes my precious daughter! She used White Stazon ink to stamp the snowflakes from the Snowflake Soiree stamp set onto Window Sheets. The greeting is from the Greetings of the Season stamp set. It is truly a classy card. I oohed and ahhed when I opened it:) I am running a monthly swap--you make one card and you are only obligated for one month at a time. If you are interested, just click the "email me" button on the side bar and I will give you the information.

This next card is mine. There are a lot of cards out there with the ornament hanging so I don't know who to give credit to. If this was your idea, let me know and I would be happy to give you credit! What you can't see on this card is the Dazzling Diamonds glitter on the part around the pearl and the Champagne Shimmer Paint Spritz I used to spray the whole card when I was finished. I was going to use this as my project for The Cupboard Trilogy Challenge for December but I didn't read the instructions very well...oops! I almost told you what the next challenge is! That would be so wrong!!! Just suffice it to say that this card wasn't it! I am working on one that is more in line with the theme. Hope to get it posted for them today!

• Other: Dimensionals (of course!), Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine, Pearl Basic Jewels, Dazzling Diamonds and Champagne Glimmer Paint (mixed with alcohol to make a spritz)

Well, I am going to continue on with my day and try not to get cranky! My post for tomorrow will depend on how the rest of today goes...you might want to skip tomorrow or maybe you'll check back in because you're curious! Anyhoo (I have always wanted to use that one...I started to type "at any rate"), I hope your day is MUCH more productive than mine has been.
