Lovely as a Tree by my Granddaughter

While my daughter and I were crafting on her dining room table, my one and only grandchild wanted to make a card! A chip off the old block:) She decided she wanted to use the Lovely as a Tree stamp set and make the tree into a Fall tree using a Blender Pen and the Classic Stampin' Pads.

She used Pumpkin Pie, Real Red and Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pads for the leaves on the tree. She got a smudge of Pumpkin Pie ink on the right hand side of her card so I showed her how to sponge the same color all over the card. She loved it! Then she wanted to stamp the tree on the right so I showed her how to use a Sponge Dauber to color the tree!

I think she did a great job!

Do you craft with your children or grandchildren?

Stamping on Ceramic Tiles

All I can say is "What took me so long?" I saw a video about two years ago by Tami White at Stamp with Tami and knew I wanted to try stamping on ceramic tiles but just kept putting it off. Surely it couldn't be as easy as it looked. So, I sent hubby to buy some tumbled, unglazed tiles for me so I could try it! Well, I am hooked! Now I want to try every stamp set I own on a tile!!! It is sooo fun and super easy! These 4" x 4" tiles are under 80 cents each in packages of 10 and can be purchased from Home Depot or Lowe's. Depending on where you live, you might have to special order them. I had hubby get me the little felt circles to put on the bottom so they make wonderful coasters!

My Happy Stampers were able to choose between the two tiles above for the one they made and most chose the tree.

For these projects I used the following supplies:

  • 4" x 4" Ceramic Tumbled Tiles
  • Stamp sets: Harvest Blessings (top photo) Lovely as a Tree (bottom photo) by Stampin' Up!
  • Stazon Ink
  • Art Chalk to color
  • Spray Sealer
  • Felt Bumper Pads
I am thinking of making these for Christmas gifts--packaged together in a set of 4! I hope you enjoyed this project!

Our state fair starts tomorrow and we are planning to go on Sunday! I always look forward to the state fair--lots to see and do! I will need to be sure to take my camera this year!

Have a great day!

Lovely as a Tree Father's Day Card

Oh my! You have no idea how talented I felt when I completed this card. This was another of our Happy Stampers' Club projects from last Wednesday! I learned this technique by watching a YouTube video by Dawn Olchefske

I was excited to be able to use my new Morning Post Alphabet that I earned for sales during Sale-a-bration! I had been wanting it for almost a year now so was thrilled to make it mine:)

For this card I used the following Stampin' Up! supplies:

  • Card stock: Whisper White, Early Espresso, Old Olive, Baja Breeze
  • Stamp sets: Lovely as a Tree, Morning Post Alphabet
  • Classic Stampin' Pads: Early Espresso, Old Olive, Baja Breeze
  • Square Lattice Embossing Folder
  • Ticket Punch (retired)
  • Other: Window Sheet; Dimensionals; Daubers
I have one more card for you today sooo, stay tuned!
