Black and White Hexagon

I fell in love with a card made by Catherine Pooler! Black and white cards have a lot of pizzazz and when you add just a touch of color and it's even better! I made 10 of these cards and yes, I cut out all of the hexagons by hand. My hubby thought I was crazy but I did it while we were watching TV so it gave my hands something to do. The cards went together really quick after the hexagons were cut out!

For this card I used the following Stampin' Up! products:
  • Card stock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Lucky Limeade, Bashful Blue and Raspberry Ripple
  • Basic Black Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Perfectly Penned stamp set
  • Honeycomb Embossing Folder; Labels Framelits
  • Flower Punch from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack
  • Dimensionals; Basic Rhinestones
With the new Stampin' Up! catalog in my hot little hands, I have been dreaming about all the cards I want to make! And I do mean dreaming! I wake up in the morning with card ideas in my head!!! The new catalog doesn't start till May 31 and I haven't purchased any sneak peek items yet but I will have several cards for you this week:)

Happy Stamping!

  1. It's so much fun to read about this process. Right now I'm way too busy to try something like this, but it looks like so much fun!

  3. So pretty and a very popular shape in many medias right now. I'm a quilter and the hexi is all the rage. You'd think it was something new, but in quilting has been around forever in the Grandmothers Flower Garden Pattern, which is one of my favorites.

I'm visiting on The AtoZ RoadTrip and I'm very glad I stopped by your very creative blog. Love all your cards and stamping creativity. You've inspired me to get back to my scrapbooking, too.

    1. Yes, this seems to be the "thing" right now. I am also going to start making fabric hexies--I have all the stuff:) It seems old becomes new--like the 70s clothes that keep showing up!

      Thanks for visiting, Sue!
