Blossom Punch Flower Card

I am finally feeling good again after a week with a nasty cold--yuck! So happy not to have the Kleenex box as my best friend and be able to breathe again:)

I needed a third project for our Happy Stampers this month and was having a hard time deciding what I wanted to do. What I did know was that I wanted to use the flower that I had been seeing on the blogs I frequent. The flower is made using two punched flowers from the Blossom Punch (bottom two layers). Take your bone folder and lightly curl the bottom layer under and the next layer up. Then punch a Scalloped Circle, a 3/4" Circle and an Itty Bitty flower. The leaves were made with the Build a Blossom Punch and a Basic Rhinestone is in the very center of the flower. I built the layers up with Dimensionals. I could make these flowers all day long out of different dsp and card stock!

For this project I used:

  • Very Vanilla, Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait and Pool Party card stock
  • Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper
  • Old Olive Stampin' Pad
  • Scalloped Square Punch, Blossom Punch, Scalloped Circle Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, Build a Blossom Punch and the Itty Bitty Flower Punch
  • Dimensionals and Basic Rhinestones
I have some more fun flower cards to show you next week. So until then...Kat!

Easter Dove Card

I just had to show one more Easter project. It is using the He is Risen stamp--just one stamp! Stampin' Up! calls them Ala Carte`. So nice and inexpensive. This card also uses another Ala Carte` stamp called Triple Treat Flower stamp.
I LOVE this card!!! The original came from Mary Fish at Stampin' Pretty and I think I CASEd it pretty close:) You can always find inspiration at Stampin' Pretty!

For this card I used:

  • Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz card stock
  • Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (Sale-a-bration catalog--FREE). This paper is beautiful and has a sponged look to the edges.
  • Stamps: He is Risen and Triple Treat Flower
  • Ink: Soft Suede
  • Five Petal Flower Punch; there is a Fancy Flower Punch for the bottom flower but I don't have it so "fussy cut" it. Also used the 1/2" Circle Punch and the Itty Bitty Flower Punch.
  • Other: Big Shot, Square Lattice Embossing folder (Mary used textured card stock on hers), Dimensionals, and the new Large Pearl Basic Jewels.
I know I will be using the Triple Treat Flower a lot and guess what??? I got it for FREE during Stampin' Up!'s Sale-a-bration!!! The only thing I like better than Stampin' Up! products is FREE Stampin' Up! products!!!

I have been busy stamping so have lots more to show. Come back tomorrow to see what I've been up to.  Kat

Everybunny Candy Box

One of our Happy Stampers purchased the Everybunny Stamp Set and wanted some ideas of what to do with it. She didn't know what she was asking!!! I found sooo many ideas on the blogs I regularly check out and only sent her about half of the ideas I saw. Lucky for her:) I sent the idea at left to her and asked if she could make the sample for our Happy Stampers meeting. She did and was so helpful as everybody made their boxes. We colored the images with Watercolor Wonder Crayons and Blender Pens--a first for most of us but oh, so fun! I am addicted to Watercolor Wonder Crayons!!! The wonder is that I didn't try them before! We used transparancy sheets to make the lid because I have a whole box of them but Stampin' Up! sells Window Sheets for the same purpose. We used the Scalloped Oval Punch and the Oval Punch for the sentiment. My box is made with Pool Party and Certainly Celery card stock and tied up with the Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon. Now, how cute is this?!!!

We have Brenda Quintana of Qbees Quest to thank for this great box idea! Brenda does great step-by-step tutorials so her projects are easy to reproduce. This adorable little box has an insert to make three sections in the box. I added shredded paper "grass" and Jelly Belly jelly beans. You still have time to make a few before Easter--I have two more to go!

Have a great day! Kat

Stamping with the Ladies!

March 12-18 found me visiting my daughter and granddaughter. So much fun!! My granddaughter is growing like a weed and getting smarter by the day! I was able to teach my granddaughter to knit on a round loom (she's making a hat) and we had our first sewing lesson--she learned to pin two pieces of fabric together! Her question to me was, "Are you going to teach me to sew before I'm too big?!"

While I was at my daughters, I did a Stampin' Up! party for my daughter and her friends. The picture (left) is of the party favors I made for the ladies (plus a purple one for my granddaughter).  These are little boxes with the bunny punched out and assembled on top. All the white pieces were sponged and since I forgot my Pretty in Pink Stampin' Pad, I borrowed my granddaughter Pixie Pink (retired) one. Let me tell you, after sponging ALL those white pieces my fingers were bright pink! But it was sooo worth it! For the boxes I used retired card stock in different colors.

The second picture (right) shows the Bunny Box a little better. I filled it with green paper "grass" and Dove chocolate eggs! This fun idea came from Amy Celona at Ustamp4fun. Amy does pdf downloads for a lot of her projects so it's quick and easy to download the instructions and supply list. Thanks, Amy, for the GREAT idea! All the ladies enjoyed their Easter treats!

Tomorrow I will share a fun Easter box we made at our Happy Stampers meeting last Wednesday! I have been busy stamping so have lots of projects to share. Come back tomorrow to see what I've been doing!

Always happy when I'm Stamping!!! Kat

Elegant Thank You

I love monochromatic cards! And especially red & white!!! This card was CASed (surprise!) from Lyssa at Song of My Heart Stampers. Another super talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!!!

For this card I used:

Paper: Whisper White and Cherry Cobbler card stock; Twitterpated Designer Series Paper
Ink: Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Pad
Stamp set: Fresh Vintage (FREE from the Sale-a-bration Catalog)
Other: Framed Tulips Embossing Folder and Big Shot Die-cutting Machine; 5/8" Whisper White Organza Ribbon (my new favorite); Scallop Square Punch (because I don't have the Postage Stamp Punch yet) and Dimensionals

I make cards to send to my husband's clients when the company finishes up a project. This is the one I sent out recently plus made four more for later! Though I am using them for Thank You cards, they could be used for anything! I think I would like to try this card using Island Indigo. Will let you know when I do!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by today!

St. Paddy's Owl

While you are reading this I will be on my way to visit my darling daughter and precious granddaughter for a whole week!!! So much fun!

Last Friday I promised to share with you the card I totally CASed (copied & shared) from Mary Fish at Stampin' Pretty! So without further ado...

Isn't this the cutest little card?!!! I decided to make them to thank my February customers so if you purchased Stampin' Up! from me in February, be watching your mailbox! This was much more time-consumming than a normal Thank You card would be but I couldn't resist! Thank you Mary for the great card idea.

For this card I used:
Paper: Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke, Lucky Limeade, Chocolate Chip and the 2011-2013 Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack
Ink: Always Artichoke and Chocolate Chip Stampin' Pads
Stamp Sets: Got Treats and Teeny Tiny Wishes
Other: Owl Punch, Jewelry Tag Punch, Peekaboo Frames Die and Big Shot Die-cutting Machine, Chocolate Chip 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon, and Dimensionals

I tried to show what was under the owl but the picture kept messing up the whole blog--sorry! It was the Shamrock with the words "got green" from the stamp set Got Treats!

This is a picture of 8 of the 10 cards I made! They look pretty cool when they are all together:) Though I am a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I only hold one club a month and an occasional workshop/party because my health has not been such that I could "work" more than that. I enjoy what I do and want to keep it that way! I am excited to be doing a party for my daughter and her friends this week!

Tomorrow I will have one more card for you and it is oh, so elegant!

Have a great day! Kat

For the Birthday Boy!

A friend's boy just turned 4 and he wanted a pirate birthday. Well I had to try to stay with the theme! Fortunately another friend had just sent me some pictures of the Stampin' Up! Owl Punch dressed up 4 ways and one of them was the Pirate Owl! Not sure where she got these from so don't know who to credit but if it was your idea, let me know so I can share your name and website for the folks to see! And thank you for being so creative!!!

The card design was CASed from Mary Fish at Stampin' Pretty. Oh my! Another very talented Stampin' Up Demonstrator!!! I will share my totally CASed card using this design on Monday! Thank you Mary for all your great ideas!

You might be asking yourself if I ever have a card idea of my own. The answer to that would be NO! However, I am starting to look at some of the sketches the other card makers are using and just might try my hand at it one of these days. When I do, YOU will be the first to know!!! Until then I am happy to give credit where credit is due!

For this card I used:

Paper: Very Vanilla, Island Indigo, Chocolate Chip, Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Basic Black card stock; Patterned Paper from 2011-2013 Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack
Ink: Chocolate Chip Stampin' Pad
Stamp sets: On Your Birthday and Got Treats
Other: Owl Punch, Peekaboo Frames Die with the Big Shot Die-cutting Machine, Antique Brads, Dimensionals

Have a great weekend!!! Kat

New Blossom Punch

Good Morning everyone in Blogland! Friends are talking about Pinterest and the hours they spend looking around there. I spend so much time in Blogland that I would never have time for Pinterest! I have checked it out however and find it could be a very interesting place. Interesting little note about Pinterest though. Did you know you can only join Pinterest through Facebook or Twitter. I don't have either account so emailed Pinterest to ask it there was another way. I was told that there isn't at this time but I could join Facebook or Twitter, sign up with Pinterest then close the Facebook or Twitter account. Well, decided not to bother. I can still peruse friends boards when I want to even though I am not signed up.
Sorry about the funky angle of the photo:(

Well enough of that! I want to share a very pretty card with you that I CASed from Justin at JK Cards! Justin's card had the flower on the fold-side punched out and the stamping was in the punched out area. Well, I couldn't find my Stamp-a-ma-jig (ended up buying a new one) so had to improvise so stamped and punched out the flower and put it on top--worked fine but wasn't quite as impressive as Justin's. The flower on the left side of the card is cut off even with the embossed piece of card stock.

In spite of the strange photo, the Wisteria Wonder card stock was cut at 8 1/2" by 5 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4". For this project I used:

The NEW Blossom Punch and Mixed Bunch stamp set (in the Occasions Mini Catalog); Sentiment is from the Elementary Elegance stamp set which is a Sale-a-bration item; Leaves are made using the Blossom Builder Punch
Paper: Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White and Old Olive card stock
Ink: Old Olive Stampin' Pad
Other: 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Dimensionals, Polka Dot Embossing Folder used with the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine.

Though I used the "Happy Birthday" sentiment on this card it would make a great Mother's Day or Easter card.

I hope you like the card today and be sure to check out Justin's website! Lots of inspiration to be had there!

Wait till you see what I have for you tomorrow!  Kat
